I know it might be probably too late.. but anyway, i was put in 11th grade when i just came to usa and one of my class was english and at that time, I could barely speak english, and one day the teacher put us in groups, and sent us in front of the classes to read a story. And after I started reading, almost everybody was laughing; so the teacher had to stop me to explain to the students that a lot of people in this country only spoke broken english. That night i went home and cried the whole night. I spent the next yearmaking excuses so i could be excluded from assignments, and to me I thought it ws better to fail a class than being humiliaated in public. Last month, i actually fought the silence nd stood in front of 35 people to make my presentation and it went quite well. i was nervous but i did what i had to.
